cootie writes "I have been really busy over the last couple of weeks both at darts and in the gym.
The darts has been moderately successful, I managed to scrape through to the last 16 of the German Open last weekend which has elevated me into the top 26 of the world rankings. Thats my good news, the bad news is that although we at Cheshire had a fantastic 9-3 win against Hampshire we were unable to win the Intercounty championship by vertu of the count back rule as we finished level on points but Yorkshire have a better win ratio.
Congrats to Yorkshire, but you will be congratulating Cheshire next season.
A couple of funny stories have emerged from the magic roundabout trip to Germany. Stuart Bousfield & Stuart Kellet have earned special mention for their contribution, Hence they got on a train bound for the Airport from Bochum giving themselves 2 hours to do a 45 min journey, 90 mins later they woke up back in Bochum, you just can't make this up lol. Another classic goes to Kev Simms & Dave Johnston, both live in Manchester but decided to travel from Birmingham. Drove the 2 hours to Birmingham to travel to Bochum on the Friday, thus leaving their car at Birmingham Airport. No problem there one would think.
The return journey started to go wrong when the plane came to sudden stop on the runway at Dusselldorf airport, and an alternative flight arranged for the following day. They both needed to be back home that night ready for work the next day so they opted to transfer to a flight bound for Manchester, strangely enough their home town. I'm not totally sure of the true facts upon landing at Manchester but believe me One of them had to catch a coach to Birmingham to pick up their CAR. i bet that was a fun Journey LOL you just cant make this up.
I've been doing really well in the gym when i can get there and my training is still going really well. I'm not loosing serious weight at the moment but I'm definitely loosing inches of my frame.

Another difficult week in the gym, the main cause of this difficulty has been fatigue from working hard at work, we have been really busy and it has left me physically and mentally exhausted. i have managed to keep up my training sessions at a constant level I have already achieved but I have been unable to up my intensity. Having said all this I have notice a massive improvement in my body shape and although its far from great its a massive improvement on where I started several weeks ago. I am an easy 38 inch waist now and a little under 14 stone. My weight is taking its time but I'm more than happy with my progress. Another couple of weeks and may even treat myself to a couple of days break to give my body a chance to repair the damage. I have loads of aches and pains but nothing so bad it is stopping me from training.
Great news about sesanta, more TV darts for us all to enjoy. Magic x"

MC Russ Bray
The event will take place at the famous (well it is locally) Roundhouse club on Brownlow way Halliwell Bolton. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis, (all the people who have personally approached me dont worry your tickets are safe). To get ypur hands on one of these special tickets you can ring Gary on 07835 119972 and if you mention my name you will recieve the tickets at the special rate of £5 each or if you fancy a V.I.P ticket you need to shell out £25.
Finally there is a rumor that I myself (steve Coote Magic) will be playing a head to head before the main event to warm up the crowd, if we can find someone willing to play me in front of my home town crowd in the lions den.

cootie writes "Hi all
This week has seen another good week on the training side of life, I've managed several training sessions and felt strong in them all. I am managing 35 mins on the tread mill followed by 5 mins on the rower constantly now with no ill efects. Today I managed 20 mins on the Xtrainer followed by 20 mins run followed by 10 mins rowing which I total up to 50 mins training and I feel fine. the real test comes tomorrow and the acid test of if I can do it again or if I've burnt myself out for the week. As for the weigh in, I'm still hovering around 13 stone 12lbs and a 38 inch waist which is a bit disapointing but at least i'm feeling good within myself. I do believe I can drop an Inch over the next few weeks and if I can loose a few pounds a week from here on I guess that will be quite a good effort. I do believe there is only so much weight i can loose anyway or else i will fade away LOL.

cootie writes "Hello all,
This week has seen a vast improvement in my fitness levels, I have managed to up my training sessions by 5 mins on the tread mill to 35 mins and add a 5 min row into the equation. I still do the swim of 20 lengths (time permitting), if I'm on my way to work this is somewhat difficult to time manage. I am also finding the sessions to be quite rewarding and now less difficult. I am running nearly injury free now, what I mean by injury is a slight pain or niggle, I would not train on an injury, rather do a different exercise which by-passes the known injury.
I am consistently 13 stone 12 to 13 stone 10 on the scales now which is a whole stone and 4 lbs under my starting weight, and my waist is steady at 38 inches. Obviously I still have plenty of work to do but at least it's not as difficult as it has been, I must admit that in the early days of this I was really struggling but hopefully thats behind me and I can push on to my goals.
The weight thing is a side issue, I was 12 stone when I finished my recruit training in the fire service and I did not have an once of fat on me and I was a 32 inch waist ( happy days) the main goal is to reduce my excess fat and reduce my waist size to a comfortable size and be able to maintain it.
It weights & measures day again on Wednesday so I will post my progress again then.
